A migraine headache is a form of vascular headache. Migraine headache is caused by vasodilatation which is the enlargement of blood vessels that causes the release of chemicals from nerve fibres that coil around the large arteries of the brain. Enlargement of these blood vessels stretches the nerves that coil around them and causes the nerves to release chemicals. The chemicals cause inflammation, pain, and further enlargement of the artery. The increasing enlargement of the arteries magnifies the pain and this activation causes many of the symptoms associated with migraine attacks; for example, the increased sympathetic nervous activity in the intestine causes nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea.

Natr Sulf is one of the remedy for Migraine. The symptoms include dizziness, headaches, bitter taste, nausea, white coated tongue, some times vomiting etc...   Another remedy is Cocculus which works best if due to Migraine there are symptoms of nausea with vomiting and sometimes also associated with diarrhoea. This remedy also works best in the vomiting of pregnancy, symptoms of stress & travel sickness.

Gelsemium is used when the patient has the symptoms of migraine & headaches and also feels cold and want to sit in a warm place. Blood pressure is also elevated.

Sangunarian is the remedy which involves the headaches in specific times, also related with sinus problems.

Onosmodium is the best remedy for Migraine when it is increased by sunlight, or during the day time.  Or even it is increased when there are many lights are switched on or there is intense lighting, and the patient feels better in the dark.

When the Migraine is due to stress or lot of tension due to any reason the perfect remedy would be Avena Sativa  , this remedy should be used for quiet a while for example at least about a month to get the complete cure.

Belladonna is another remedy when the Migraine problem is associated with the high blood pressure, redness on the face, feels really hot most of the times,

Vanadium Met is another best remedy when these problems occur due to weakness of nerves, muscles and immune system. The symptoms of this remedy also includes low iron, anaemia, (lack of blood), less absorption of nutrients in the body.
